Urban Promise Academy aligns academic standards with state and national benchmarks while incorporating faith-based values and real-world learning experiences. Our achievement expectations include:
Reading and Language Arts
– Emphasis on literacy, comprehension, and effective communication. Students will meet or exceed state ELA standards through phonics instruction (early grades), close reading, writing workshops, and discussion-based learning.
Mathematics
– Mastery of fundamental mathematical concepts, problem-solving, and real-world applications. Instruction follows Abeka Math, ensuring a strong foundation in computation, logic, and real-world application.
Science
– Inquiry-based learning aligned with Abeka Science, which integrates hands-on experiments with a biblical worldview.
Social Studies
– A faith-informed approach to history and geography using Abeka Social Studies, helping students understand the past while applying biblical principles to civic engagement.
Biblical Studies and Character Education
