MAP Growth Assessments

Fall, Winter & Spring

Our elementary students take MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessments in reading and math to help us understand their individual learning levels. These nationally recognized, adaptive tests adjust in difficulty based on student responses and provide teachers with detailed data to guide instruction and support academic growth throughout the school year.

DIBELS

Fall, Winter, Spring + Progress Monitoring

Our elementary students take DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) assessments to help us monitor their reading development. These quick, one-on-one assessments measure key early literacy skills such as phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension. Teachers use the results to identify student needs, provide targeted support, and track progress throughout the school year.

Kindergarten Readiness Assessment

Fall

All Ohio kindergarten students participate in the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) at the beginning of the school year. This assessment helps teachers understand each child’s early learning skills in areas such as language and literacy, math, social foundations, and physical development. The KRA results help guide instruction and support a strong start to school success.

ASQ

Upon Enrollment

We use the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, ASQ-2 and ASQ-3, as developmental screening tools for our youngest learners. These parent-completed questionnaires help us understand each child’s growth in key areas such as communication, motor skills, problem-solving, and social-emotional development. The results guide teachers in providing age-appropriate support and help families stay informed about their child’s developmental milestones.

ELA

Fall & Spring

Our Pre-K teachers administer the Ohio Early Learning Assessment (ELA) for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to support each child’s development across key learning domains. The ELA focuses on areas such as language, math, physical well-being, social-emotional skills, and approaches toward learning. Teachers observe and document children’s progress throughout the year to guide instruction and ensure they are meeting important developmental milestones.
